CSA offering in 2023!!!

Updated: Jan 22, 2023

Beginning our 5th growing year in 2023 (we started our farm with a garlic crop in 2019). We now feel experienced enough to offer a limited number of CSA (community supported agriculture) memberships. It sounds confusing but it translates simply to a weekly subscription "box" of what we produce. The weekly boxes will be available at pre-determined pickup locations/days (for example a farmers market we attend) or can be picked up direct from the farm on an assigned day/time. We will offer 2 sizes, a small subscription which will have items for singles/couples. Our large size will have quantity designed for a family of 4. Click here to see share offerings and submit your request form to join the CSA!

Since the subscription memberships are paid in advance we work very hard to make sure members receive a better value than just buying our produce at the weekly market. We will provide a weekly email newsletter (so we need to collect your email information) in which we will communicate upcoming produce, provide useful information items such as recipes, nutritional facts, events, updates on our operations and even farm tours (by appointment)! Our planned crops for the 2023 season include Arugula, Beets, Carrots, Cucumbers, Garlic, Lettuce, Peppers, Radishes, Spinach, Strawberries, Tomatoes, Turnips and a variety of Microgreens!

CSA subscriptions are often referred to as "shares". The reason is because members invest in the farm and get a share or return for their membership purchase. Although crops and harvests can never be guaranteed, we plant a wide variety and volume of produce to mitigate risks of a poor harvest due to mother nature or other unforeseen events. The upside for members is hand selected quality produce, the best we have to offer! Bountiful harvests mean our members get more for their money. We currently do not offer "adjustable" CSA's which allow substitution, although it may be something we will consider in future seasons. CSA's are non-refundable.

If you have any questions regarding CSA's we have not answered here, email us at smokymountainproduce@gmail.com
